      T echnology has become an essential part of modern day teaching and many teachers are in use of numerous forms of technology to engage their students in the classroom. From simple LED television with the use of flashdrives, some are into smart televisions, laptops, computers, projectors and some other online learning platforms. These only shows that there are many ways that technology can be used to be tool for teachers and enhance student engagement in learning.      As a future teacher, one of the benefits of using technology in the classroom is that it can provide my future students with a more interactive and fully spirited learning experience. For example, I can use television or projector to present multimedia content to help the class activities more alive and attentive, I can use bluetooth speaker if activities are related into physical education or music. WHY I WANTED TO BECOME A TEACHER?

     Early this year I saw a post in a social media platform regarding the enrollment for the post graduate studies which is Prof Ed also known as Professional Education in Tagoloan Community College. It is a continuing program for those professionals who are willing to teach or to redirect their career into teaching.     I decided to enroll for me to have a background what is teaching all about and to gain units as well. I wanted to teach because I had lost my chance in applying for Philippine National Police(PNP) or any government agency related to my course due to personal and health reasons.     Maybe It is not yet too late to redirect new career path. It is not yet too late to replace my dreams I thought I really wanted to become, to excite or to challenge me.     I really hope that one day, I can surpass all of these and saw myself teaching the younger generations including my children.      I am holding onto ...

THE ADVENT OF TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION      I t was about 19th century that technology education had begun. The year 1974 was the first introduction of personal computer(PC). However, it wasn’t until the 1980s that digital technology made its mark on education. This was a  decade when computers went from an experimental technology to a mass-market consumer product. That shift was reflected in schools, many of which invested in a single computer for basic learning applications.       In the advent of the World Wide Web it gave a glimpse into what computers were capable of. Publicly available from 1993, it facilitated the use of search engines and email on a regular basis. In addition, several teachers before were using "xerox" machine or photocopiers to multiply the reading materials and examination booklets to be used by the students.
