THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM: A FUTURE TEACHER AND LEARNERS BENEFITS

     Technology has become an essential part of modern day teaching and many teachers are in use of numerous forms of technology to engage their students in the classroom. From simple LED television with the use of flashdrives, some are into smart televisions, laptops, computers, projectors and some other online learning platforms. These only shows that there are many ways that technology can be used to be tool for teachers and enhance student engagement in learning.

     As a future teacher, one of the benefits of using technology in the classroom is that it can provide my future students with a more interactive and fully spirited learning experience. For example, I can use television or projector to present multimedia content to help the class activities more alive and attentive, I can use bluetooth speaker if activities are related into physical education or music. I can also use laptop or PC and printer to print colored activity sheets to make the students feel how beautiful it was compared to what is told or read about. These all can help the my students stay engaged and motivated, as they are able to participate in experiential learning activities rather than just listening to lectures or reading from a textbook.

     Another way that technology can be used to enhance or improve my students is by using online learning platforms and social media tools to create virtual learning environment when classes are limited at school. This will help my students to share ideas, ask questions, and get feedback from their peers and from me as their teacher. This can also help the students feel more connected to this technological learning process and can encourage them to take a vital role in their education.

     Hence, i will put into practice to remind each of my students to make use of technology wisely. It could be a tool to succeed yet it could be a tool of losing once career.

     Of course, it is important to remember that technology is just a tool among other learning techniques and platforms that teachers can use to engage in their students. It is important to find the right balance between using technology and other teaching strategies, and to consider the needs of individual students.  I can only use technology as a supplement to my daily dose of classroom activities.

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can impact student learning when teachers are digitally literate and understand how to integrate it into curriculum. Schools use a diverse set of ICT tools to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information. In some contexts, ICT has also become integral to the teaching-learning interaction, through such approaches as replacing chalkboards with interactive digital whiteboards, using students’ own smartphones or other devices for learning during class time, and the “flipped classroom” model where students watch lectures at home on the computer and use classroom time for more interactive exercises.
