TTL 1 LEARNINGS
During our class the SAMR was discussed. It is the Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition Model. The SAMR Model is a four-level taxonomy that describes how technology impacts teaching and learning. The SAMR model can be used to design, implement, and evaluate learning experiences.
TPACK was then discussed and I had learned that was a technology integration framework that identifies three types of knowledge instructors need to combine for successful edtech integration—technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (a.k.a. TPACK). While TPACK is often compared with the SAMR Model, yet they are very different in scope.
I had also learned the diffirent types of online resources and its uses for teaching and learning.
The picture shows the ASSURE model, developed by Heinich, Molenda, and Russel in 1993, I had learned that it is an instructional design guide that integrates technology and multimedia to enhance the learning environment from a constructivist perspective...
And lastly, we also tackled about the Cone of Experience by Edgar Dale in which It explains the following:
- Direct purposeful experiences- these are first hand experiences which serves as the foundation of our learning.
- Contrived Experiences- Make use of representative models or mock ups of reality for practical reasons and so tat can make a real-life accessible to the students' perceptions and understanding.
- Dramatized experiences-by dramatization, students can participate in a reconstructed experience, even though the original event is far removed from us in time.
- Demonstrations- it is a visualized explanation of an important fact, ideas, or process by the use of photographs, drawings, films, displays, or guided motions.
- Study Trips- excursions and visits conducted to observe an event that is unavailable within the classroom
- Television and motion pictures-teaching with the use of television and motion pictures
- Visual Symbols-using abstract representations in teaching
- Verbal Symbols- Traditional form of teaching..
Those models discussed are greatly used in the modern day teaching. It has impacted as future teachers to use those models in teaching in the near future.
