Information and Communications Technology (ICT) can impact student learning when teachers are digitally literate and understand how to integrate it into curriculum.

Schools use a diverse set of ICT tools to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information. In some contexts, ICT has also become integral to the teaching-learning interaction, through such approaches as replacing chalkboards with interactive digital whiteboards, using students’ own smartphones or other devices for learning during class time, and the “flipped classroom” model where students watch lectures at home on the computer and use classroom time for more interactive exercises.

When teachers are digitally literate and trained to use ICT, these approaches can lead to higher order thinking skills, provide creative and individualized options for students to express their understandings, and leave students better prepared to deal with ongoing technological change in society and the workplace.

As we go on in our reporting topics i had learned that blended learning is an essential part of the new era. Technology is one way of helping teachers and students to contribute to its learning pace. It also impacted me to use the social networking sites in enhancing one's craft, communicating with learners. I also learned to integrate media and technology in various content areas.

The most thing that impacted me was the disadvantages of  using social media platforms esp in the younger generations. The use of technology shouldn't be abused, nor it shouldn't be in less supervision with parents at home and the teachers at the classroom.

During our class the SAMR was discussed. It is the Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition Model. The SAMR Model is a four-level taxonomy that describes how technology impacts teaching and learning. The SAMR model can be used to design, implement, and evaluate learning experiences. TPACK was then discussed and I had learned that was a technology integration framework that identifies three types of knowledge instructors need to combine for successful edtech integration—technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (a.k.a. THE ADVENT OF TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION      I t was about 19th century that technology education had begun. The year 1974 was the first introduction of personal computer(PC). However, it wasn’t until the 1980s that digital technology made its mark on education. This was a  decade when computers went from an experimental technology to a mass-market consumer product.
